Tubby Butterman


Well ole Tubby Butterman took one on the chin to day. I ran this morning and here are the results.  10 K in 64mins.

Oh yeah Tubby is going down!

OK I am finally ready to rid myself of 30 lbs of fat for good.  So I’m challenging myself to lose 30 lbs in 3 months.  My bigger goal for the year is to be at 190 or less the more days than not in 2008.  We’ll see.  I think I can totally do it.  One added bonus of having an extra house guest is he is 22 and loves to work out so we’ve gone to the gym together the last couple of days and I feel re-energized.  So it go time.  I’ll keep you updated, as if you really want to know, and if you see me at McDonalds by myself tearing up some double McFatties come by and make fun of me.

Ok, so Strike one was Monday the gym was closed.  Strike two was my technically challenge botch of Nike+ system on Tuesday and Strike three… I forgot to set my alarm last night and woke up an hour later than usual.  I am really not trying to sabotage this,  Honest!  I’m going to have to show up big tomorrow.  Wish me luck, and remind me to set my alarm.

Well I think my family is trying to get rid of all my excuses for not exercising. For my birthday I got a gym membership, nike+ running shoes, nike+ iPod adapter and a iPod arm band.

I am really excited that I can workout and keep track of my running. I was looking forward to trying it out this morning but it 18 degrees out side and the Gym is closed for MLK day. I will be using it tomorrow even if I have to run inside the church! Who else has one of these? Any tips?

So I have conveniently “forgotten” to keep up with my Tubby Butterman posts but got inspired today to weigh in and start this thing up.  My goal was to be under 200 by this year  and well … its time to get another goal.  My new goal is to be 190 fro the majority of 2008.  I am currently 217 which is quite a gain for the holiday season seeing as I was 208 right before Thanksgiving.  That takes talent people.  Well I will post my progress weekly.  If anyone else wants to join in come on with it,  lets do this thing.

Well I’m back down to 208 which is where I was before my last weigh in.  So I think I might be back on track.  So I lost the same 2 pounds again, but I don’t know if that counts.

Well I’m moving backwards.  I’m up 2 lbs back to 210.  I’ve been really lazy and pretty much eating however I want using excuses like “oh no, there’s desert and candy every where, poor pitiful me!”   So I need to tighten up.  With the holidays basically upon us I’m a little nervous but I really want to hit my goal by the end of the year.  20 lbs in about 8 weeks is completely possible but I just have to get back on track.

So at this rate I’m not going to hit my target weight before the end of the year. I need to step it up a bit. I’m still losing just a lot slower than I had hoped. I am currently 208 which means a total lose of 17pounds and 1 pound this week. It is progress but it at a pound a week it will be 18 more weeks to get to 190. On another note here is a pic of emery and I at Kristen’s rehearsal dinner. I might be sporting a pair of cords with a 34″ waist which is probably smaller than usual.

So another week with out much progress. I ate as I wanted to this passed week but somehow did manage to lose a pound. So 209. I got to turn the heat back up.

Well you may be wondering why I have a picture of Brother Bluto on my Tubby Update. Well my weight loss this week is parallel to his GPA in animal house. Zero point Zero which puts me in a bad spot where it would be easy to say man I’ve lost 15 pounds I’m pretty happy with that and just stop. But I can hear Bluto’s words ringing in my ears… “Over?! Was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor?” So nothings over I just have to buckle down and do this thing. So no loss this week but look out for next week. I’m just saying.
