Well ole Tubby Butterman took one on the chin to day. I ran this morning and here are the results.  10 K in 64mins.

Oh yeah Tubby is going down!

Wow I don’t think I even need my computer anymore. I got an iPhone last week and I’m blogging twitteding emailing and iming from it. I know a lot of you have already adjusted to the iPhone but this is pretty amaZing to me.

I am completely in love with my wife and I think she is awesome and I love spending time with her. But, I think this is a little overboard.

So I went to the gym all pumped to tryout my new Nike+ system. I hit the buttons and started running. I tried to get the updates but it only paused. Oh well I will read up latter today and figure out whats up. I proceed to run 3 miles in 30 minutes not bad for a start. Well I go to check and … It tells me this

Arrgghh! I’m pretty sure I ran farther than that, guess I turned off my work out when I pumped up the volume. That just means I got to try again tomorrow.

Well, today is my holiday. I share the same birthday as Martin Luther King Jr., so growing up it became one of my favorites. Although my motives were selfish, mainly being excited to have my birthday off and then the Monday nearest my birthday, it did effect me. I know a silly way to learn about some one who changed our world but whatever works.

MLK was an awesome leader who lived out his faith. His actions make me want to be a better person. He exemplified Godly character by not excepting evil even though it was lawful and fighting evil with love. Read some of these quotes from him and think what it would be like to have a leader like him in your organization or church.

-The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

-If a man hasn’t discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live.

-Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think.

-We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

-To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.

-He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

- Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

- Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Why do the weekends always seem like a blur? Friday I mister mom’d most of the day. It is always fun to spend time with the girls but I usually prefer to stay within the confines of home or a familiar home when I have them on my own. I know lame. So I decided to try to venture out with them and went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. It went pretty well and I did have reinforcements Jen met us while we were out. Later that night we had a game night with our small group. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoy our group. We played catchphrase and Laughed at, I mean with each other. A lot of funny answers and expressions. Its fun to spend time with each other laughing with our defenses down. Good times. Saturday we loaded up in “daddy’s car and went to get our Christmas tree. Went much smoother than in past years. This is usually a good opportunity for Jen and I to work on our… patients and … work on our relational skills. Lots of opportunities for growth. After we dropped off the tree we headed to Marietta. There we had lunch with Pop and Gana and Tyler who were out shopping for a car due to a recent wreck. Then we got the girls hair cut, emery’s first hair cut at that. Went shopping at Target and Toys R Us dropped the girls off at Grammy’s work. Then we went and saw Shane & Shane at our old church which was a really good time. It was so fun to just relax and worship. I hadn’t realized how much I missed that until I was in the middle of it. We picked up a starbucks on the way to pick up the girls at Grammy’s and headed home. Lots of movin’ and shakin’.

Hey I got a Blog!
